Every VPSPioneer server is a KVM virtual machine. KVM gives each server its own kernel and its own reserved memory, so it behaves like a small physical machine: you can run Docker, load kernel modules, pick any distribution we offer and reboot without asking anyone. It is not a container sharing the host's kernel.
On a managed VPS you keep full root access; we manage the server around you, with patching, backups, monitoring and the changes you ask for. If you would rather do all of the admin yourself, the same hardware is sold as Cloud VPS, self-managed, from $8.49 a month. The resources are identical; the price difference is the management.
