Before you order

Is this different from your web hosting plans?

Same servers and same prices: WordPress Solo, Shop and Studio are the Pioneer Start, Grow and Pro plans, which is the name you will see at checkout. WordPress Manager, NVMe storage and daily backups are on every plan; this page explains what those mean for a WordPress site or shop.

Do I have to install WordPress myself?

No. In DirectAdmin, WordPress Manager installs the latest WordPress with one click, sets up the database and the admin account, and issues the SSL certificate. You go straight to the dashboard.

Can I run WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce is a plugin like any other. For a shop we recommend WordPress Shop or Studio for the storage and traffic headroom, and a staging copy so you can test payment and shipping changes before they go live.

What does staging mean here?

It means a copy of your site on a subdomain, made in one click from your control panel. You test plugin updates, theme changes or new code on the copy, then apply them to the live site when you are happy. Nothing on the live site changes until you decide.

Are updates automatic?

You choose. WordPress Manager lets you set WordPress's own auto-update schedule from the panel, or switch it off and update when you are ready. Daily backups mean an update can always be rolled back.

Will you move my existing WordPress site?

Yes, free of charge. We migrate files, database, e-mail and SSL, test the site on our servers and switch DNS when you are ready. Nothing goes offline in between.

What about caching and speed?

Sites run on NVMe SSDs with PHP 8 and OPcache, with server-level caching for static files and pages, so most requests never touch PHP. AccelerateWP caching is set up for WordPress out of the box; you can add your preferred caching plugin on top.
